When his uncle calls to share that his father's body has been "unburied" in a Boston cemetery, a son—now living in Iceland with his burly, blonde husband—must confront the tragedy of his father's sudden death 15 years ago. Back then, despite their estrangement, he reluctantly organized a massive funeral for his father's diverse and eccentric extended family, including evangelical uncles, a candomblé aunt, a cowboy cousin, and a secretly-in-love cousin.
