Following the story of Jonathan, a 13-year-old boy living in a social housing project in Reboleira, in the faint hope that his father might return from France, this film is divided into five parts, each representing a moment in Jonathan's life of endless waiting. Nuno Boaventura Miranda's debut experimental fiction short explores the tensions between the rural and the urban, peace and violence, love and abandonment, belonging and alienation, set in the ouskirts of Greater Lisbon, a giant, cold city devoid of empathy for the African immigrants living the projects, places in decline and un ruins, where the majority lives on a threshold of many identities.
